Rule is to plant spring bulbs about 6 inches apart … but if you plant them closer together they support each other better – especially if they’re tall

It’s pretty easy really, for most bulbs plant them at 3 times their depth, up to 6 inches apart – closer together if you want them to support each other. If, like me, you’re a bit of a newbie … you’ll be pleased to hear there’s lots of advice out there.

Usually, the advice is to plant bulbs five or six inches away from each other. However, they can be planted closer together in order to provide support when the stems become long.
