Try lasagne planting …

It’s pretty easy growing bulbs. Improve your soil before lasagne planting. For most bulbs plant them at 3 times their depth, so biggest go on the bottom layer – closer together to support each other. Then forget about them. If, like me, you’re a bit of a newbie … you’ll be pleased to hear there’s lots of advice out there.

Lasagne planting involves planting bulbs in layers (like a lasagne) so that you can fit more bulbs into a smaller space, while also getting the benefit of a longer flowering period.
