Ironically, it’s warmer in a cold frame

March is still a cold month, so if growing plants or protecting seeds outside it is a good idea to have a cold frame. Don’t hang about, plant some strawberries now

Tip on grwoing starwberries in a hanging basket to keep them away from the slugs. The cartoon is of two slugs looking at the hanging basket, one slug says, "What are you thinking?" The other slug says, "With 23 thousand slugs in a pyramid, we could be having strawberries for tea."
