• This is a photo of a batch of prints from the silkscreen. I produce anything from 4-15 prints from the one silk screen. You can see from the image that I have varied the colours on some of the boards around the 'BLUE' roar bubble.
  • Applying the colour background paint to the screen, before running the squeegee over the silkscreen. The screen is set up with tape to stop the paint moving around the screen
  • This is the silkscreen after pulling a colour across the mask. The colour area is where the paint has pushed through the silk. The other areas are the masks, where the paint is applied. That's the idea anyway!

Dandelion 'Roar' is screen printed onto 6mm boards roughly 300 x 400 mm.

This version is hand printed in five separate passes, each screen is printed with

  • water-based Acrylics
  • onto 6mm mdf board, hand prepared with Gesso as a final layer – giving each print a unique finish, together with hand-registration
  • and, hand-finished with a Liquitex Matt UV varnish to provide a longer lasting image and colour
